The Dashboard
The Dashboard is where you'll interact with Somnus in theatre. Cases are displayed as Case Cards, grouped by day, week, month or year and related data is displayed further down.
Tapping a date in the horizontal date scroller will jump to that date, and scroll to the most relevant case for that period in order of:
First Active Case
First Booked (Future Dated) Case
Last Case
Dot indicators beneath each date show the case statuses:
⚪️ Completed Cases
🔴 Active (Timer) Cases
🔵 Booked (Future Dated) Cases
⭐️ Favourited Cases
Case cards are blue when complete and grey when future-dated.
Starting a Case
The Plus Button allows you to create a Case quickly by copying the last Case’s details, with a Template, or simply choose a Blank Case.
You can always add detail to a Case at any time, including by dragging & dropping items onto a Case Card or by copying & pasting details from another Case.
If you have Booked Cases (future dated) in the displayed time range, you can open these here too.
Summary Cards
Below the case cards section are summary cards for the cases displayed.
Tapping on a summary card will take you to those items, filtered by the displayed time period (and you can drill down into them further if required).
Long pressing a summary card will bring up a context menu which will give you further options, such as exporting cases. You can select from several export options.
You can change the order & visibility of the summary cards on the dashboard with the show/hide categories button.
Statistics
Beneath the summary cards is a section showing statistics for these cases.
In day mode you will see even more detail, including efficiency, theatre utilisation & turnover data if you have recorded start & finish times for your cases. This updates in real-time if a case timer is active.
Charts
At the bottom are charts for the displayed date range. Long pressing on a chart will allow you to save it as an image file.
On the dashboard you can show/hide the following chart types:
ASA Levels
Gender
Age Range
Age Range (Detailed)
BMI

Time of Day
